Techno has launched the Tecno Camon 16 Series as its latest offering. The Camon 16 lineup includes three phones – Tecno Camon 16, Tecno Camon 16 Pro and Tecno Camon 16 Premier. During the launch event, the company only revealed the specifications of the Techno Camon 16 premiere and did not reveal information about the other two phones. The Tecno Camon 16 Premier will have a dual selfie camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. Quad camera setup is provided at the rear and the new Techno phone comes equipped with a 4,500mAh battery.
Tecno Camon 16 Premier price
The Techno Caiman 16 Premier is priced at KES28,499 (about Rs 31,000) in Kenya. This price is for 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model. The phone comes in Glacial Silver color only and is already available for sale in the country through Kenya’s Jumia.co.ke official store. Initially, the company is offering Tecno H2 HiPods TWS earbuds free with it for promotion.
Tecno Camon 16 Premier specifcations
The Tecno Camon 16 Premier runs Android 10 and features a 6.9-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,460 pixels) display with a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen. It comes equipped with MediaTek Helio G90T chipset and 8 GB RAM and it gets 128 GB onboard storage, which can be increased to 512 GB via a microSD slot.
Talking about the camera, the Tecno Camon 16 Premier has a quad rear camera setup, which includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel depth sensor and 2-megapixel with quad LED flash Low-light sensor is included. The dual front camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary shooter. The phone is also equipped with adjustable dual front flash.
In addition, the Tecno Camon 16 Premier has a 4,500mAh battery, with 33W fast charging. Connectivity options on the phone include Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and more. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the phone.
